We would like to create an immersive experience for spectators as they view the film. Inspired by the shapes of cells and the stretchy fabrics featured in the video, we want to create three long, amorphously shaped beanbags. Above these beanbags, yellow heat lamps will be installed. These warmed, irregularly shaped, and yellow-colored beanbags represent the bodies of connected AAPI women. As audiences lean and/or position themselves on these bags, they themselves also become a part of these bodies; enveloped by the silky texture of fabric reminiscent of a mother’s embrace or womb. Spectators will watch the films under the soft glow of the lamp, as if awaiting to be hatched into a new chimeric creature.
